Foundational Literacy and Numeracy - FLN

UNLOCKING the UNTAPPED POTENTIAL of African CHILDREN!

KAINO™ is a complete Early Childhood Development (ECD) mobile solution that leverages Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) in form of STEM-blended curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) infused Teacher guides, Children’s workbooks, Storybooks and Formative assessment that can be used by teachers and caregivers to teach children while in school.

Teaching STEM in the early years enables children to make those vital connections between everyday life and the STEM disciplines. Our lessons build off young children’s natural curiosity by introducing them to the use of technology in their daily lives. They explore through interactive projects, engaging literature and fun demonstrations. The self discovery and teamwork learners experience builds confidence, sets an important framework for their future education and helps them make sense of the theory they learn in school for years to come.

Homeschooling

Homeschooling is teaching tailored specifically to individual children rather than according to a standardized set of guidelines or curriculum for the masses. It allows the choice to prioritize what your child needs today, whether that’s refuge from bullies, advanced learning opportunities, time to make art, help for a learning difference, treatment for mental or physical illness, or more time to play outside.

Children come in different ages, stages, levels of development, learning preferences, personality types, and activity levels, and they have different interests. Now, many home school parents start with the question, “What’s the best homeschool curriculum?” A more productive question is, “What homeschool curriculum is the best fit?”

The KAINO curriculum’s STEM approach covers the three prominent learning styles which would pretty much fit any child.

1

Visual

Learn through seeing. Tend to think in terms of pictures, and use visual cues to organize and retain information.

2

Auditory

Learn by hearing. Need to talk through things and hear things verbally to process information.

3

Kinesthetic

Learn by moving, doing, and touching. Use experience and activity to understand and remember information.
